Birthjourneys offers a variety of consult options for new breastfeeding couplet!
Review pump set up, breastfeeding basics. This consult prepares you for initial breastfeeding after birth and for the first week at home. $75
First Home Consult:
Birthing your baby is Done! Now refine the basic breastfeeding information to increase comfort, perfect latch, and manage supply. This consult averages a bit over 60 minutes. $150
Office Lactation Visits:
This 60 minute consult addresses specific breastfeeding concerns. $100
Meet other nursing mothers and tackle basic breastfeeding challenges in this casual and caring environment. This clinic is overseen by Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Jacqueline Starkey. | Sundays at 1pm - NO COST

Jacqueline has been a DONA Birth Doula and Lamaze Childbirth Educator for well over 20 years. She has continued her growth in birth service by becoming a Trainer for both DONA Birth Doulas and for Lamaze Childbirth Educators. Jacqueline is the Coordinator for the Sentara Princess Anne Volunteer Doula Program and serves as the Labor and Delivery Lactation Nurse. Jacquline also holds her R.N. and is a International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
Ady (short for Adriana, a family name that has been passed down for five generations) has been fascinated with the science and miracle of the childbearing years since childhood.
Ady is passionate about supporting breastfeeding moms and earned her Certificate in Lactation Educator/Counselor (CLEC) in 2015 from the University of California San Diego’s breastfeeding program. She is pursuing her master’s degree from Union Institute and University, majoring in Health and Wellness with a focus on Human Lactation Studies. She will graduate from the program and sit for the IBCLC certification exam in 2020 to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She is also a student midwife at the Village Midwife, LLC and Birth Center and attends National College of Midwifery. Ady holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Health from the University of California, Irvine where she minored in Medical Anthropology and completed a certificate program in Gender Studies. She is also a trained birth doula through Childbirth International and a volunteer staff doula at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital. Ady looks forward to serving your family's lactation needs within her preceptorship with Jacqueline.
